We started the 2025 with great news for the riskiest cyclists. The governor of Puebla, Alejandro Armenta announced the creation of a new bikeway that will cover the Izta-Popo zone. The best of it, is that this will connect with Amecameca.<\/p>

Until now, the obtained information is that the Izta-Popo bikeway will have a length of 12.4 miles.<\/p>

With that, the expectations are that mountain bikers<\/a> (or any biker) can be at least to 20 minutes of volcanic area<\/a>. Likewise, this section will work as highway, for that cyclists and motorists will be able to share them safely.<\/p>

“We will make a highway works as a cycle path too, it will take us 20 minutes to the Izta-Popo and from there, to start the second project which is an eco-park\u201d, the governor mentioned.<\/p>

Bikeway in the Izta-Popo and eco-parks<\/strong><\/h2>

Besides the announcement of this bikeway, Armenta highlighted that this will open the construction of the first of three eco parks to construct during his six-year term.<\/p>

This will be in the Malintzi, that will have a high-performance center for athletes. The most interesting, is that, by being located among great mountains, will allow to be the most important one of Latin America.<\/p>

The construction of the ecopark, and of course the Izta-Popo bikeway, must start as soon as possible due the goal is to finish the project nine months after the beginning of 2025. Likewise, the aim is inaugurate it by the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum.<\/p>

The dream of cyclists and athletes<\/strong><\/h2>

Even though mountain cyclists are lovers of challenges, the winding roads and slopes, the Izta-Popo bikeway will ease their ascend to the mountains. In the same way, the least experimented cyclists or with other models of bike, will climb the slope in a more relaxed and safer way.<\/p>

Now, to the second ecopark, its construction will be on the Izta-Popo zone, in this way, cyclists will directly ascend to the limits of the Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl.<\/p>

The third eco park will be in Citlaltepetl, where can be performed different mountain sport activities nearby Great Milimeter Telescope (Gran Telescopio Milim\u00e9trico).<\/p>
