For that, in today’s ride, we’re going to discover some of the most ambitious and spectacular cyclist projects in the planet.

Longest bike parking in Utrecht

Surely, when riding by bike or before going out, you’ve wondered “Where I’m going to leave my bike?”.

We know sometimes there aren’t safe spaces to park it, and the worst fear is to come back and don’t find it.

This isn’t a problem in Netherlands. Utrecht city can brag of having the biggest bike parking of the world. With three floors and capacity to store up to 13 thousand bikes. And isn’t weird a place like this but useful in this city, where less than 50% of population commutes by bike.

Cycling through water- A bridge in Bokrijk

If you like nature, this is the ideal option for you.

Limburg, Belgium has a bridge that connect the ponds of Bokrijk. When crossing it, you will enjoy a beautiful view while surrounded by nature. The best of all is that you don’t have to worry about getting wet when arrive to the other end.

Fyllingsdalstunnelen Tunnel

If you don’t believe you were able to cross a mountain by bike, now you can do it in less than 10 minutes through this Fyllingsdalstunnelen tunnel. One of the most ambitious and spectacular cyclist projects.

A beautiful and avantgarde project that covers from side to side the Løvstakken mountain. It measures 9514 ft of length; decorated with work arts and light systems that alert the proximity among cyclists. Of course, safety is first, there are different emergency phones in case you need them (even though signal for cellphones always work).

Its construction was made from the existent railroad tunnel.

The alien bridge of Jan Waaijer

The ideal thing would be pedal during day, but a mysterious magic occurs when pedaling at night, covered under stars and lights of city in Zoetermeer, Netherlands.

Structure connects south of city with Nieuwe Driemanspolder, in addition to connect with four of the largest bike routes of the word.

This project integrates perfectly nature with architecture; in fact, is one of the top 10 infrastructures according to The Guardian. However, the most surprising thing is the night view; that as Alexandre Rotenberg mentions “with all those lights it seems as an alien structure”.

Garda by Bike, a great example of cyclist projects

No doubt, one of the favorite landscapes of many is the one with water and earth, but if you add a bike then is so much better. In this aspect, Garda by bike is one of the most ambitious cyclist projects and the most beautiful of the planet

Built over the lago Garda, the biggest one in Italy, a cyclist ring over the water, shared with pedestrians and providing a beautiful view of the city. For so many cyclists, is the world’s most beautiful bike route.
