People says that riding a bike is never forgotten. And even though, this is true, when stop riding it during a long period, what can be difficult is to have a good balance on it.

Basic exercises without bike
The first of these tricks doesn’t requires of your bike. It is enough with painting and localize a straight line on the floor. Walk on that line placing one foot, then the other, always in an aligned way. You can do the same over a train rail or narrow fence and not so far from the floor. Try to maintain the balance walking like this to control the center of your balance.
Control turns
Once you know how to cycling and you have a better control of it, try to find a big space and pedal in circles. Start by making a big circle and try to reduce it every time. As smaller the circumference you cover, the slower you will have to go and pedal less. In the same way, you will have to turn more the handlebar; without putting your feet on the ground, this is an excellent exercise to maintain the balance.

Balance on the pedals
It’s about the great techniques to know how to maintain balance in a bike. Move a bit in your bike and brake gradually until you stop completely, but pay attention, don’t put your feet down when stopped. Instead, stand on the pedals, maintain pressed both brakes and try to stay like that a few seconds. If losing the balance, loose a bit the brakes and move forward a bit (just a few centimeters), without a complete pedaling; move the handlebar to the right and left to recover the balance, as incline your left or right knee to the opposite side where the weight is heavier.
When having the necessary experience and safety, you can challenge yourself and discover if you can maintain without putting your feet down during a whole traffic light in red and move when changing to green. But, when you feel you are going to fall, put your feet down and support on the floor to avoid of suffering an accident.

Learn to cycling, then to bounding
The most experimented cyclists in having a good balance, can make the previous exercise without pedaling. Instead, give little jumps on bike to the direction we are inclining to, returning to our balance. Of course, all this you have to do it without putting your feet in ground; start by raising front wheel and soon you will start doing the same with both.
