Via RecreAtiva Guadalajara, a healthy and family option

The Via RecreActiva Guadalajara is one of the most important recreational bike ways of Mexico. It has a length of 19 miles and as its name indicates, is located in Guadalajara.

Nowadays, around 100 thousand people visit this recreational cycle path per day. It operates on Sundays from 8:00 am to 14:00 am, and is also active during certain holidays for all community to enjoy a pleasant moment.

As all the recreational bike ways, the Via RecreActiva has alternative activities to cycling for all to enjoy of this. Thus, during the time the circuit lasts, attendees can also participate in more than 30 leisure options. Among the different musical, sport and cultural activities that you can enjoy, exist chess, volleyball, basketball classes, tours, and others.

Via RecreActiva Guadalajara, a bike way of gold

“This is a recognition that Recreational Bike way Network of the Americas (RCA) certifies to Via RecreActiva of Guadalajara to obtain the distinction of golden program, the maximum possible distinction in virtue of compliance of quality indicators demanded for this recognition.

This is a program that transforms city temporarily, into a more equitable, human and healthy one during its functioning”, recognized Gabriel Michel Estrada, secretary of RCA.

Before this, Albino Galván Martínez, General director of Comude Guadalajara, invited people to explore this great cycle route, to “enjoy and see why we are golden label and experience why we are the best road and international referent”.

This tour is a program that generates peace for cities, promotes social cohesion and boost a new mobility where families can go all Sundays to have funny and healthy moments.
